The Expansive State of Thankfulness

There is a power to thankfulness that is not necessarily the commercialized version of a ‘gratitude practice’ and very clearly not 'toxic positivity' which tries to find footing in half-truths and skipped steps and unacknowledged realities. Gratefulness can also come up as a comparison to others' experience of suffering (They don’t have this and so I’m grateful I do or vice versa), but this lacks the full expansiveness of thankfulness.
