Coming Up in February:

Tarot and The Four Faces of God

The Tarot is one of the most powerful symbolic tools ever created.

Each Tarot Key is rich with symbology that communicates directly with our subconscious mind and reveals deep spiritual truths about ourselves and God.

This virtual retreat will explore the mystical power of the first four Cards of the Tarot as a symbolic representation of the four faces of God.

February 2-4, 2024

No prior knowledge of the Tarot is necessary.

Ancient Wisdom

Modern Times

Theama Institute is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to support the conscious evolution of the planet by helping individuals engage in deep transformational work. We pursue this mission through the application of ancient mystical wisdom and modern psychological insights.

We have two branches of our organization; one is called Theama Life School and the other is called Theama Mystery School. The Mystery School focuses specifically on our roots as an Esoteric Christian Mystical path, while the Life School emphasizes the more universal aspects of inner transformational work.

We also have vibrant spiritual communities in five cities and online. Our spiritual communities are a gathering place for all of those who are drawn to practicing the Christian Mystical tradition. They are all welcoming, inclusive, and affirming spaces.

Lastly, we have the core of the religious organization which is called Order of the Mystic Heart. Our Order is comprised of all of our Lay Ministers and Ordained Ministers, Priests, and Adept teachers. The Order of the Mystic Heart provides ministry training, development and support for those who are called to a life of service in the Christian Mystical tradition.

What We Offer

Theama is excited to present a new kind of class: the Podcast Class. The course includes 6 Podcast episodes, plus presentations and meditations, and access to a private community where the teachers will host a once a month live session. Try it out and let us know what you think of this new format.

Introduction to Christian Mysticism

Mystics are those who commit their lives to develop a direct experience of God and seek love-union with the Divine within themselves. Join Theama Institute teachers Dr. Lucille Isadora Tures and Katherine Wilson in this Shadow and Light series as they explore, with playfulness and depth, the heart of Mystical Christianity. Participants will be invited to not only learn about this beautiful and boundless tradition but to develop their own mystical practices of meditation and contemplation.

This is a self led class with once a month live sessions with the teachers.

What's Happening Now

Daily Practices

Daily practices of Meditation and Communion are the backbone of our spiritual path. It is well known that a daily meditation practice is one of the most effective practices for any spiritual aspirant, but few people have had the opportunity to experience the incredible transformative power of Mystical Communion. The Mystical Sacrament of Communion attunes us to the cosmic patterns of release and regeneration, as well as the loving presence of our ultimate teachers and guides, Jesus and Mary.

One does not need to hold any particular belief to participate in our Meditation and Communion services. It is open to everyone and offers healing and uplifting benefits to anyone who is open to them, regardless of their faith (or lack thereof). If you're interested but unsure, feel free to try out our daily practices for a few weeks and find out what changes may appear in your body, mind, and heart.

And, as always, feel free to ask any questions that you may have.

Sunday Services

Our Sunday Services are a great way to meet our communities. They are a time to join together in Christian Mystical forms of meditation, prayer, and sacraments.

The service is similar to mainstream church services in form, but the practices and spiritual talk focus on the Mystical Spiritual path and our continued unfolding into love-union with the divine and compassion for all human kind.

There is never any heavy-handed moralizing, condemnation, or fear-based preaching.

We are an open and affirming community that values diversity of all kinds.

And, as always, feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
